Life with Operating systems.
The first time i used an Operating system i was in high school and i started with windows 95. It was such a magical thing and i was inspired by how the OS worked, processed documents using Microsoft Office, etc.Every holiday i would stay on the PC. With time i moved to windows 98 and then XP. Xp was such an awesome OS from Microsoft then and even up to now i still like it. When i was at the university in 2006 for the first time i used Ubuntu. It was awful because i was not productive. Doing things on the command line didnt make a sense yet you are a click a way on windows. With time as i got into the professional field and begun to learn about open source, I begun to appreciate what Linux would offer. I used openSUSE and Fedora and loved them. I tried Solaris but i have never liked it up to date. Meanwhile ubuntu was becoming very popular in the desktop field too. I didnt like Ubuntu mainly because of ts GUI and drivers issues. Soon when i begun working professionally on open source projects using open source tools and software. I found it extremely easy to do the projects on Linux because of the free goodies and big coding community. So it was easy to find a solution online. Thanks to Google. I was using Ubuntu then and i have never turned back .I used the OS for 4 years now. I occasionally use windows products and OS but it is still a pain to do certain things. The worst thing about it is that you still get unexpected outcomes even with current Windows 8 product. I have changed my windows OS on the same laptop many times in the four year period but i have never done so with Ubuntu. Ubuntu has been running for four years now. Let me take time to give credit to windows for Office, that is one product is still the best above all and this gives you a reason as to why i occasionally use Windows 8. Sorry i think i hate Mac OS because its expensive which ever acute angle you look at it in each way.
